Witty Perry

I guess that by looking at the title, you probably have a clue already on what the subject matter for today is all about.

Last Sunday Night I have:
  • Screamed until my throat ached
  • Danced until I dropped
  • Laughed like a retard
  • Jumped as if I were flying into space
  • Had the night of my life!
After my last Sunday, it will be a tough competition for future concerts to beat Katy Perry's (or shall I say, Witty Perry?)

I loved her performance on Sunday (26.09.11) for many different reasons. However, I feel like I'm going to write a long, tiring essay here and I know all of you want to cut to the chase and see the pictures I took from the show so here are my reasons short and sweet :)

  1. The fact that she has done the complete stage set up really pleased me since it is very rare that artists do that for concerts here in Brazil. Most of the time when artists go on tour (in the States in particular), they mount a huge set up with incredible special effects, an eye-popping scenery and many other fantastic elements that makes a show remarkable. However, when they travel overseas, they don't tend to bring this stage set up since it costs a lot of money and because depending on how "grand" the stage is, it can be hard to ship it abroad and be able to dismount it in time for the next concert.
  2. I loved the scenery for the show, it reminded me of the board game "Candy Land" since there was a lot of color and also a LOT of glitter as well and it made me feel as if I turned back into a kid and I was reliving my childhood!
  3. I also adored the fact that when Perry had to run backstage for a change of clothes, cute clips would appear on the the left and right billboards to entertain the crowd. From what I could see from the clips, they are all based on the story of Alice in Wonderland because, like in the book, there are a lot of "unusual" characters in Wonderland and the videos portray Katy walking through the pathways of "Candyfornia" encountering many different characters throughout her way.
  4. I guess this is the most important point out of the four, I loved Katy Perry's confident attitude, sweet loving sympathy, and witty sense of humor -- I guess she got that from Russell Brand ;)  Whilst on stage, she has kept the crowd amused by interacting  with them and bringing them up on stage, told a few jokes here and there, used glamorous costumes for each and every song she sang and has also proven to all of us that she knows what she is talking about when she says she wants to "bring the house DOWN"!

So as all of you may have skipped my incredibly long bullet points, here are a few pics that were taken last Sunday night (hopefully they won't leak online like Katy's!)
