One of the best things that I love about Summer Holidays: The chance of trying something new.
As I have probably mentioned beforehand on a previous post of mine, in Summer 2011 I went to Disney World for a full week with my family and that trip has introduced me to a whole lot of new experiences and the only way I was able to do them was through courage and feeling fearless.
Thanks to this vacation, I have conquered my fear of roller coasters and I actually had a REALLY good time.
Actually, my problem wasn't the fear of roller coasters, it was the fear of being feared of them (sorry if I got you confused :/) but since I was at a place with a "once in a life time" opportunity, I figured I should leave all of my dreads behind and face them once and for all.
I'd like to point out two in particular that I REALLY enjoyed and have a lot to do with the blog since they involve music.
My first roller coaster that I've been too on my entire vacation (and my entire life) was The Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit that is located at Universal Studios, Florida.
What is actually remarkable about the ride is how it adds flavor to the moment since it starts with the guests choosing a musical genre through an interactive touch screen device attached to the front of their seat and from the genre, there are listed 5 songs from the specific genre chosen. Therefore, the guest will be enjoying the thrill of the roller coaster and will also be able to listen to his/her favorite song while doing it!
It also gets you nervous since the ride begins with a 90 degree lift hill along with a 90 degree fall.

Another very popular roller coaster that I liked a lot as well was The "Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring: Aerosmith" that is located at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
I must admit, the waiting line is a pain, but it is a definite MUST GO especially for those of who are HUGE Aerosmith fans!
A unique element that the creators of this roller coaster has added was that instead of doing the usual "lift hill" that most roller coasters have, the ride begins with passengers sitting on a cart themed as a "limo" stopped in front of a tunnel with a variable message board until a countdown is released and the riders go from 0 to 97km/h in THREE seconds.
Another thing that they have added to the roller coaster to make it different was the use of neon lighting as the rider goes past the Los Angeles Freeway signs because since the ride is in the dark, it gives an extra effect that stands out a lot while you are riding! (Not to mention songs by Aerosmith being played as background music through out the entire experience!)
