Shake Up The Town!

I know I don't usually do these kind of posts but this is a VERY special occasion and it also has to do with the blog since it is music related.
For those who know me personally are VERY aware that I have an OBSESSION over musicals. I love the songs, the dancing, the plots, the costumes -- In other words, basically every single detail that puts up a massive production like the one a musical offers -- I LOVE IT! (Word of advice: Don't leave me alone in New York for a month because I'll spend more money on front row seats for every single musical available (yes, even for Spiderman) than I will spend doing a shopping spree on 5th Avenue!)
So, if you haven't guessed on what I will be talking about today, all I can tell is that you have major issues with reading comprehension. However, that is a problem for your english teacher to solve so moving on: I do have a list of many musicals that I love more than anything in this world such as Grease, Chicago, Wicked, Moulin Rouge, Burlesque, Fame, Hairspray, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Legally Blonde The Musical within others.
In spite of those listed above, today I will be talking about one in particular that is, in my opinion, one of my favorites out of the bunch which is Footloose.
I love everything there is to love about Footloose: the music, the dancing, the story, the humor and the connection between the characters all end up joint so perfectly together that they equal an amazing musical full of love, passion and energy and most importantly: having the crowd leave the theater with a huge, wide open jaw dangling from their mouth at the end of the day.
Whoever is reading this who understands my compassionate love for musical theater and also lives in Rio will be interested on what I will suggest. Don't have much to do this week? Come and watch The British School of Rio's production of Footloose live on stage from Thursday (yes, it is today and I know I have a bad timing but this goes without saying) to Saturday (19.11.11) at 8 o'clock! I haven't seen it yet and I unfortunately won't be able to attend but please do go check it out! It is definitely an unmissable performance with fantastic acting, killer moves, outstanding singers and what is more impressive out of all the reasons I have stated for you to watch this play? Hardworking kids from ages 13 to 18 busted their chops off so that this production makes history. Kids who have put major effort on every single part of this production to make it be a huge success. So, if you could all do this for me -- a person that won't be able to see it live, -- take the opportunity and see it on my behalf! You don't know how important this is and how you won't regret my suggestion. If you were never a fan of theater, think of this as a brand new experience opening your mind to new ideas and new thoughts that might change you for the better (because I'd NEVER recommend something for you guys to change for the worse ;)
So, whomever is interested on getting tickets, please read over the Event Page on Facebook that includes all details about the performance!
