Night of Freaks

Creepy crawlers and shivery spines,
Sinister shadows and hairy vines.
Breath-taking steps and an eery door hinge,
That's enough to make my stomach cringe.
You better run from this special day,
Since from what I can see, things won't go your way.
Nights like these need groovy tunes,
To boogie away the ghosts and goons.
Continue this post, if you dare,
Don't blame me if I put you on a scare.
After all, what can I do if you start to whine?
Sorry if our taste for dark humor doesn't align.
Not every soul in the world is keen,
When they hear the words: "Happy Halloween!"

(thumbs up for my rapping) -- Kidding!

Angel Iglesias

What’s the worst part of a Sunday Night? Just the thought that the weekend is about to end and hell will start to take over the next day gets me nauseated. But, to end these 2 and a half days of paradise (Friday IS considered a semi weekend), nothing is better than to jam to Enrique Iglesias and J Lo’s brand new hit: “Mouth 2 Mouth”!
Mouth 2 Mouth is the typical Latino/Dance Pop kind of music that has made Enrique Iglesias’ trademark. Plus, featuring two hit pop idols in it, I don’t doubt that this song will be a mega hit in the nightclubs!

Any thoughts? Leave a comment ;)

A Very "Bubbly" Holiday

Hey guys! Sorry for not posting yesterday, I was kind of busy with school work :/
To compensate, I'm publishing two posts today (yesterday's and today's post).
Gingerbread cookies, check. Candy canes, check. Pine trees, check. Twinkly lights, check. Fat man wearing red pajamas, check. Yup! It's that time of the year again, my neighbor is for the millionth time arranging an "all-you-can-eat-bake-sale" on his front lawn!
Aha! Got you there! To spoil the fun, yes, I am talking about the best holiday in the entire world and I can't stop counting the days for it to get here!
Why I love Christmas so much? The atmosphere mostly, the fact that families gather together to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ (and for the intimates, MY birthday!) Yes, for those who don't know me personally, I was born on Christmas Day for a change and tell me this: what is a better way to spend your birthday than not with your entire family together reunited on the jolliest season of the year?! There isn't an answer for that since it is literally PRICELESS!
Well, enough talking about me, let's move on to what really matters: DA MUSIC!
King of covers Michael BublĂ© has once again put magic into my ears with his melodic lyrics and lovestruck to his hotshot looks in his brand new album:"Christmas".
The album was released yesterday (24.10.11) and his voice fits so perfectly well with the songs making you even more excited to the Winter Holidays! There are also many featured artists such as Shania Twain and The Puppini Sisters to get you into the mood of baking scrumptious goodies in the oven while eating them near the fire place (YUM!)

Here are my favorites:

1) Jingle Bells (Feat. The Puppini Sisters)

2) All I Want For Christmas Is You

3) Winter Wonderland

4) Holly Jolly Christmas

5) Frosty The Snowman

6) Santa Clause Is Coming To Town

7) It's Beginning To Look Like Christmas

8) Santa Baby

9) White Christmas (Feat. Shania Twain)

Pretty jazzy and classical right? I love it! I've never been THIS excited for Christmas before!
Anyone getting a copy of the CD? Also available on iTunes!

Brazilian Bomb

I don’t know how old this song may be, but the rhythmic beat has sure caught my attention and so did the fact that super star Claudia Leitte, one of the most popular artists in Brazil, is in it too!
Ricky Martin himself looks hotter than ever and the chemistry between the two artists makes a perfect combination of Brazilian music and Dance Pop for you to boogie the night away!
Tell me what you think:

Perfect for a tropical summer fiesta in Rio right? Reminds me of Carnival not to mention, it is ideal to Samba to!

Rockin' The Walk

For some reason today, I woke up at high spirits and I’ve been in my pajamas the entire morning, sliding through the slippery corridors of my house using a hairbrush as a microphone dubbing to this song. Relax; nobody that caught me red-handed thought I was weird or something (pfff!)

Hopefully, you might do the same as I did!
Keep on sliding,

Pit Paradise

Any house parties this Saturday? If yes, don’t forget to add Pitbull’s freshest song: “Wepa” to your playlist!
The funky beat and the collaboration of Gloria Estefan gives that final touch to the song by adding a flavor of Latino music mixed with dance pop – perfect for a night out with your besties! No doubt, this one is DEFINETLY gonna be a radio hit!

What are you waiting for?! Seriously, my grandma is faster than you, why didn’t you click “play” already!?

Totally Swift

As a very wise person once said: Whenever your girlfriend has got Taylor Swift lyrics on her Facebook status, either you are doing something REALLY right or something REALLY wrong.
For those of you who read my blog and don't know me in person, the answer is: No, I don't have a boyfriend. However, after a few personal  episodes of my recurring past, I started to look back and I noticed that:

  1. When in love, don't always go out of your way for his/her love in return because you never know if that person is worth of your time and patience.
  2. Even if that person is the most amazing human being you ever met in the entire freaking planet, you are putting a valuable friendship at risk that may be for keeps.
  3. There is no such thing as falling out of love, but in case you do, that means that you were never in love on the first place.
Sorry for the people that are reading this right now that are currently in a relationship. I'm just a girl stating the ugly truth. Of course, it can turn out to be the best risk taking experience in your entire lifetime. But be aware that you won't win every battle you fight for. Certainly, you will never know if you never try, but you should always keep the balance between the pros and cons of love's side effects.

Anyway, for those of you who do get an idea of the message I'm trying to deliver, (and, perhaps feels the same way as I do in the moment,) Taylor Swift's "The Story of Us" perfectly describes half of my entire pain resumed into 4 minutes and 26 seconds. No wonder she is SUCH a feminine icon! Saved our love life from going overboard once again, way to go T-Swizzle!

Man of the Hour

Sometimes, I get impressed on how times change so quickly, how all of a sudden something turns into something else out of nowhere. It is shocking indeed, impressive as well. I still remember it from the top of my head, not very long ago; I was accessing YouTube in search for funny videos and cool songs to listen to.  The second I entered the website’s homepage; a particular video caught my eye. It had the image of a boy, about 13 years of age that by the looks of his gestures was serenading a girl who seemed to be on her late teenage years. The title read: “Justin singing ‘With You’ to Esmee”. With no further a do, I then decided to click on the video since it was on the tab of “Top Views” on YouTube. All I can say is that my jaw dropped when the young boy decided to open his mouth and start vomiting melodic lyrics that sounded as if an angel had fallen from heaven. “He is only 13” I thought to myself. “I wish him the best, he has got potential”.
Ironic as it may sound; about two years later I decide to go to MTV to watch the Music Video marathon since it was about to begin. Remember that boy I talked about previously? Yeah, it was him aright. I could tell by his “windblown” hairstyle and the "baby face" as well. I was flabbergasted when I saw this. “OH. MY. GOD. It’s the YouTube guy!” was the first thought that came across my head and I couldn’t be prouder than that. Thanks to him, I learned that dreams do come true, with a little luck and hard work.
Oh! Yes! Almost forgot the most important part of the topic, that boy I was talking about, is some Canadian dude called “Justin Bieber”. The name sounds familiar right? My parents refer him as “the dude with the shiny hair” or something like that. Truth is, I went to his concert last Saturday (08.10.11) and lucky me, I will tell all of you about it!
Although Bieber was the main attraction of the night, popular bands such as british pop sensation “The Wanted” and electro pop group “Cobra Starship” also dazzled last Saturday singing megahits such as “Good Girls Go Bad”, “Hot Mess”, “#1Nite”, “You Make Me Feel”, “Glad You Came”, “Lightning”, “All Time Low” and “Gold Forever”.
As for JB’s performance, I learned something that night: Whenever there is purple smoke on stage, this means Justin is present. Since I’m not that BIG of a fan of his (however, I have total respect towards him), it was very entertaining since there was a DJ present and played hit club songs and the Biebster also took the chance to show off his a**-kicking moves on the dance floor and has sung classics such as “U Smile”, “One Time”, “Runaway Love”, “Never Say Never”, “One Less Lonely Girl” and of course #1 chart-topper “Baby”.
One other thing that I liked about the show was how respectful Bieber is in terms of punctuality and not disappointing his fans by keeping them waiting for him for incredibly long hours like some artists do (yes Rihanna and Beyoncé, I AM talking about YOU!).

Here are a few pics of the concert for the Beliebers who missed the most amazing Saturday and Sunday night of their lives!
Cobra Starship owning the spotlight

Biebs taking the spotlight!

Lucky Belieber had the chance to be Justin's "One Less Lonely Girl" for the night

The artist shows his "sensitive" side, awwww! How charming!

Of course, he HAD to end the show singing "Baby"

Talk about swag, what's a Justin without style?

Bieber showing the Fever he has for the country!
Pretty sweet isn’t he? I already miss it too!

PS: Christmas isn't even here yet and JB is already getting up on the mood for some warm, creamy hot chocolate and spicy smooching (WITHOUT Selena Gomez) on his brand new music video: Mistletoe!
He is so adorable, even I had goose bumps when I saw the video! It really grasps that good, christmasy feeling and the song itself has kind of jazzy/reggae beat to it.
